Program Manager - Health Care Programs (Temp 1 Year)

Are you a health care professional with experience managing and overseeing the administration of high-quality health care? Are you passionate about providing and overseeing positive healthcare outcomes to workers in B.C.? If so, we have an opportunity for a Program Manager to oversee the administrative, financial, and clinical activities of the health care provided to injured workers throughout the province.

As a Program Manager, you’ll work alongside a team of health care professionals with varying backgrounds who oversee the delivery of physical and mental health services for workers throughout the province. We leverage our strong, collaborative relationships with health care providers across B.C. to ensure our customers in our Claims and Rehabilitation Services department have the tools they need to get injured workers recovered, healthy, and back to work.

This role is a temporary position for 1 year.

How you’ll make a difference: You’ll ensure we offer effective and evidence-based access to programs and services to help people recover when they’ve been injured at work.

Where you’ll work 

At WorkSafeBC, we offer a hybrid work model that combines working remotely, and in our offices based on the operational needs of the position.

In this role, you will work primarily from our Richmond Office with some flexibility to work from your home in B.C.

• Manage, maintain, and monitor the clinical quality and financial performance for a network of external providers to ensure the effective delivery of high quality, client-focused service
• To achieve the above, you’ll liaise with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
• Identify gaps in health care programs and services, research current literature and evidenced based practice, and implement effective solutions including the design and procurement of contracted networks of health care providers
• Provide leadership and direction to assigned staff as well as to internal and external health and rehabilitation clinicians
• Provide operational oversight and management of the Visiting Specialist Clinic, situated in our Richmond Office

Your background and experience

• A degree in a health care related field such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, nursing, counselling, or other area of healthcare
• Active registration with your profession’s regulatory college and/or association
• A minimum of five years of health care management experience that includes two years of recent, senior-level experience overseeing the administration of health care delivery
• A valid B.C. driver’s license

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Salary:  $116,186 - $141,166/annually
