We are looking for a Prevention Information Assistant to receive and respond to province wide WorkSafeBC calls. As a member of the call-center, the prevention information assistant is to screen and probe for information from callers and forward calls when appropriate; monitor and maintain a variety of mailboxes and databases on a daily basis; perform a variety of support, administrative, and associated projects and duties as assigned for various departments and personnel within Prevention Services and other departments within WorkSafeBC.

We’re looking for people who can:
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Gather relevant information from a variety of sources, including over the phone, in person, and by reading and interpreting information
- Explain information in a professional manner, both orally and in writing
- Organize, prioritize, and manage a high volume, varied workload in an environment that includes changing priorities, time demands, and frequent interruptions
- Build and maintain rapport with a variety of individuals, sometimes in sensitive or difficult circumstances
Your background and experience
- Completion of Grade 12
- 1-2 years of related work experience in an environment where you provided exceptional customer service, used decision-making skills, and managed high volumes of work
- Proficient use of MS Word
- Type a minimum of 40 words per minute
- Excellent English language skills, including grammar, spelling, and reading comprehension

Salary: $28.07 - $35.48/hourly
