Are
you a resourceful, self-motivated individual who can complete full-cycle
payroll processing? Do you have a year or more of experience working with a
large, complex payroll system? Our Payroll Services department has an
opportunity for a Payroll Assistant to process payroll transactions for our 4300
employees. If you have a strong customer service focus, are detail-oriented,
and have payroll experience in a mid-size organization, we’d like to hear from
you.

workers’ compensation system, ensuring we serve British Columbians now and in
the future.
Where you’ll work
At WorkSafeBC, we offer a hybrid work model that combines working remotely, and in our offices based on the operational needs of the position.
We’re
looking for someone who can:

Plan and prioritize a detailed, high-volume workload
while ensuring accuracy and meeting deadlines
- Actively listen to obtain relevant facts and clearly
explain information to individuals with varying levels of understanding
- Communicate confidently to internal and external
clients in a courteous, positive manner
- Analyze information and investigate problems in
order to achieve an appropriate and timely solution
- Provide quality customer service exhibiting
diplomacy, professionalism, particularly in resolving a problem or complaint
Your background and experience
- PCP
(Payroll Compliance Practitioner) certification
- A minimum
of one year of experience in full-cycle payroll processing,
working with a large, complex payroll system
- Grade
12 supplemented by courses from the National Payroll Institute or other
relevant post-secondary courses may be considered
- Experience
working in a unionized environment and familiarity with PeopleSoft are
considered assets
