Film Distributor

 

Overview

We’re looking for a temporary Film Distributor to maintain, distribute, and file medical imaging (radiological) examinations; and to call in, receive, and return radiological examinations from and to all healthcare establishments. If you’re a self-starter and enjoy a day providing assistance to internal and external clients, we want to hear from you. This is temporary position for one year.

Where you’ll work

This position requires full-time onsite attendance at our Richmond office.

What you'll do

  • Organize, send out, receive, and record medical imaging (radiological) examinations for distribution within our organization, and to outside professionals and healthcare establishments
  • Request medical imaging (radiological) examinations from outside sources; to receive, record, register and redistribute as directed by diagnostic imaging records memo
  • Register, catalog, and file workers’ medical imaging files for onsite storage and prepare to send to offsite storage
  • Consistently models the appropriate level of organizational behaviours expected of all WorkSafeBC employees: responsive, respectful, fair, collaborative, accountable, and forward thinking.

Is this a good fit for you?

We’re looking for someone who can:

  • Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail
  • Organize, prioritize, and take initiative
  • Stand for long periods of time and lift x-ray film bags up to 10 lbs.

Your background and experience

  • A minimum of grade 12 education
  • Type a minimum of 25 words per minute
  • Excellent English language skills, with accurate grammar and spelling and reading comprehension

Salary: $23.05/hourly
