exceptional technology experience for our organization by delivering services
that meet end-user needs for technology education and support and
ensuring transparent and accountable decision-making through governance
practices and policies.
The Business
Management and End User Services (BMEUS) department is looking for a highly
motivated, dynamic, innovative Co-op Student to join our team to help us strive
towards our vision.
Through this
role, you will gain exposure to:

Enterprise
IT support services
·
Use
of IT tools supporting end users in Vancouver and the lower mainland
·
Work
with vendors who partner with WorkSafeBC to provide support on various IT
technologies
·
Exposure
to the latest desktop, audio-visual, print and mobile technologies
·
Familiarization
of applications used to support internal and external clients
·
Real
world IT governance, compliance, and operational support
This is an
8-month long coop role starting in September 2026.

in your experience and post-secondary program to benefit workers and employers
across B.C.
Where
you’ll work
In this role, you’ll
work five (5) a week in our Richmond office.
On Day 1 in this
role, you will get a chance to meet your manager and get acquainted with your
team. You will spend time setting up administrative and technological
essentials, and completing onboarding tasks, including security and payroll
setup.
During your first
week you will engage in a comprehensive onboarding program designed to equip
you for success. You will be partnering and meeting with your manager to
discuss your goals and align them with the team’s vision. Additionally, you
will learn how our department contributes to the overall business strategy and
supports the organization’s mandate. You will also work through the onboarding
program alongside your supervisor for added guidance and support.
This role is ideal for an individual who is eager to
step beyond their comfort zone. We are looking for someone with a detective
mindset, strong motivation, and a passion for innovation. The right candidate
will possess analytical and critical thinking skills, enabling them to propose
ideas that enhance various processes and initiatives, as well as to explore new
approaches to work within the department.
Your daily responsibilities include:
- Support Windows 11 technologies for end users
including hardware support
- Support deployment of mobile devices which includes
upgrades and problem solving
- Support enterprise-wide printers resolving hardware
issues and working with the print vendor
- Assist the teams with Microsoft Teams rooms support
- Assist PC Life-cycle coordinator with refreshes and
peripheral requests
- Advise clients on end-user technologies such as
headsets, mobile devices
- Work on various projects and collaborate with
Technology enablement team on new technologies
- Learn about the importance of compliance, security
and governance in an Enterprise environment
We're looking for someone who can:
- Technically
motivated with aptitude to learn about IT technologies
- Analyze
and demonstrate critical thinking to resolve technical issues on desktops,
printers, Microsoft Teams room technologies understand business processes at an
enterprise level
- Demonstrate
self-motivation by absorbing technical knowledge, collaborating with other
teams in IT and building strong relationships with end users and vendors
- Communicate
and collaborate effectively with team members, end users, management and
vendors

Your background and experience
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program and majoring in IT
disciplines
- Demonstrated interest or aptitude in technology is required
- Previous co-op or IT work experience is an asset
- Great customer service skills and ability to communicate with a large
variety of audiences
