We have temporary opportunities for Adjudicators to join our
Claims Intake & Adjudication Service department to provide timely,
exceptional customer service and to help workers with physical injuries. In
this role, you’ll make entitlement decisions on claims, manage health care
benefits, and answer questions about claim decisions. If you are committed to
providing compassionate service and have experience gathering information from
multiple sources, making well-reasoned decisions by applying law and policy, we
would like to hear from you! We have Adjudicator roles
available in our Surrey, Richmond, and Kelowna offices.
This is a temporary opportunity for 18 months.

Where you’ll work
At WorkSafeBC, we offer a hybrid work model that combines
working remotely, and in our offices, based on the operational needs of the
position.
We’re
looking for people who can:
- Exhibit
excellent interpersonal skills and a high level of professionalism to
provide empathic, tactful, respectful, and courteous service
- Manage
emotionally sensitive conversations while demonstrating a high level of
personal resiliency
- Apply
strong organizational and time management skills to handle a high volume
of claims
- Effectively
communicate confidential and sensitive information to a wide variety of
clients, both orally and in writing, using discretion and tact
- Probe
for understanding where there may be disagreement on facts
- Work
both independently and in a team environment
- Operate
proficiently in a computerized environment using Microsoft Office software

experience
Important to know
Before we can finalize any offer of employment, you must:
- Successfully meet the legal requirements under the Criminal Records
Review Act to work with children and/or vulnerable adults.
- Confirm you’re legally entitled to work in Canada
- Have a valid
class 5 driver’s license or equivalent which would allow you to drive
independently in BC is required

Salary: $38.49/hourly
